Dragon-Killing Slackers!

A few of you have signed up for Legend of the Green Dragon, but nobody has even made it off the Isle of Wen yet. What gives? How am I supposed to rack up affiliate points if you guys don't slay a dragon or two?

I'm level 10 and I've joined a clan, and I think I've been pk'ed about 10 times. Dang distractions while I'm playing the game make my session time-out, and if you don't stay in an inn when you're logged out, you're fair game for PvP death.

I think I've lost about 1500 gold dieing in this way. Dang it!

I've got a nice lightning lizard as a mount, and have purchased a potion that gives me "giant blood", which essentially has me throwing a boulder every combat round in addition to my normal attack. I've got a weapon and armor three levels above my character level, so I'm reasonably well-outfitted. And yet I've still died and been resurrected more times than I care to admit.

If you have no idea what to do with this issue, that's your problem...

Nah, I'm not going to turn it off. I'm pretty careful these days about getting back to the inn before night time. I just don't like those times when I have to go up against 5 fights in a row on my way back to the capitol city.

Of course, if you're still on the Isle of Wen, you have no idea what I'm talking about. :)

    See you there soon...

Thanks for mentioning this game. I checked it out last night, and hooked up a friend this morning. Obviously, we too, are still on the Isle. But it's amusing.

As for PVP, if you get really tired of it, there's an option in the preferences to completely opt out of participating in it. But it sounds like an entertaining twist, so i'm leaving PVP on until I see more of it.

I had actually considered writing a Greasemonkey script to perform some of the more tedious aspects of the game, but I don't really think that the PvP option is the focus of playing.

You only get 3 PvP battles per day, and I haven't really encountered any rivalry - a PvP fight isn't much different than fighting a monster, really.

There is more fun in exploring the world, advancing yourself, and keeping up with clan activities and social aspects of the game.

Is this web based version susceptible to scripts like the old bbs games? It was always such a bummer to go up against people running scripts constantly to boost their ratings.

If you want to be killed, leave PvP on, if you don't, turn it off - as simple as that! If want to be able to kill people but not be killed yourself, dk!
