This is going to be the first of a few posts centered around gadgets. I should provide a little background before I begin.

I’m not sure when my love of gadgets started. Probably back even before I was touring HAM radio fests with my dad, looking for good deals on electronic throw-offs. I remember the piles of Macintosh and Commodore computers at the fests - ah, the good old days.

These days, I’m a gadget junkie. Yes, my house is totally wired. Yes, I buy all sorts of widgets that nobody in their right mind would use. If I need to gain cred with folks in the gadget world, I’ll mention that I have 8 video game systems at home that I can name off the top of my head - including the Virtual Boy. I have a two portable minidisc players, and one built into the CD changer in my home stereo. I have an “automated home”, and it’s likely that my broadband kicks your broadband’s butt. And that’s just the part of the iceberg that’s above the water.

But let’s get started with a mundane review - The Gyration Ultra.

I was looking for a presentation mouse for a project at work. I needed something that was wireless so that I could move around with it.
