Since I had off this week, I thought I would do something fun that I don’t normally do. So I stuffed Pat and Dave in the car and we headed out to Hersheypark.

It was a perfect day for the amusement park; perfect temperature, just the right amount of fluffy cloud cover, and a nice cool breeze.

We got on many of the rides, but not all of them. We rode the two big metal coasters both twice, but we missed a couple of the signature rides. We didn’t get on the Sooperdooperlooper, nor did we ride the Lightning Racer. I kind of like the Lightning racer, which is a disappointment in not riding, but it didn’t break the day.

The new Storm Runner ride is pretty nice. It does negative Gs. You go over this giant hump in the track and it tries to throw you out of your seat. Pretty cool.

The Great Bear wasn’t a disappointment either. It’s a very quick ride with a bunch of loops. Kind of short, ut they’re all kind of short, aren’t they?

I won a bunch of stuff at the Whack-A-Whatever game called “Rattler’s Revenge”. Mostly by beating Dave and Pat. Yes, I am a master at this game. Even after revealing my expert strategy, I beat Dave. They will tell you that I lost to a little girl, but come on… Her grandparents were standing there and she was like 6 and it would’ve been mean, so I let her win. I actually looked up at my score at 90 and just started smashing randomly. Then it took 15 minutes for some other dupe to walk up in order for me to win the large prize. Incidentally, the large prize stunk (what’s with the styrofoam?), so I kept the mediums.

Next time, we’re going to have to take Abby because there were a ton of rides there for her size. It might even be cool to go again this summer, since there’s even a rollercoaster (Trailblazer) that she’s tall enough to get on!
