Do you ever see something out of the corner of your eye and get it stuck in your head somehow? Like, maybe there's a sign for fried chicken as you're driving down the road, and you see it on the periphery, and then you suddenly start thinking about chicken.
It's one thing when you notice yourself doing this, and know the source of the "inspiration". But I wonder how many times this happens and I don't realize that I've been influenced by a sign or a flash of sound on the radio or some subliminal TV message.
I have an icon on my computer desktop for the font that I used for the title on the Asymptomatic home page. The font name is somwhat unusual in my opinion. "Lassigue D'Mato". I have only one use for this font - the Asymptomatic title.
But the icon folder is sitting on my desktop, and out of the corner of my eye I see it. So many days now have gone by while I mindlessly repeat the words "Lassigue D'Mato". I know what it is, but it didn't occur to me until just now why it had occurred to me at all before.
