I don’t think I’ve said anything about this, because hey, who wants to start a holy war, right? But I’ve seen just one too many of those Mac ads, and they deserve comment.
Yes, they are funny. Ok. Let’s just go past that to what’s bothering me.
Although I respect that Macs come with much more usable initial software to start off with, I resent the idea that a mac can, simply by its nature, do anything better than a Windows PC can do, given the proper tools. There are so many logical misrepresentations in these commercials.
Take this movie for example. What is this commercial suppose to be telling you? My impression is that you’re able to get better results (that’s the name of the file, after all) when using iMovie, which is packaged with your Mac, than using a PC. There are at least two things screwy with this.
