Abby doodles on Mother’s Day cards and talks about Pooh.
I took a couple of movies on Mother’s Day with the new digital camera. They turned out pretty good. One of the neat things about the new camera is that you can keep recording video as long as you have memory. With the Mavica, you could only take as much video as you had buffer space - about four minutes.
Anyway, the first video is of Abby doodling on the outside of her Mother's Day cards for BB and Nana. We gave her some crayons, and she drew a couple of "babies" on the envelope. She "signed her name" in crayon on the card, too. She did a pretty good job of tracing the Bs that Berta put on BB's envelope. I hope this means she'll be taking more interest in coloring books and staying inside the lines soon.
The second video is of Abby "reading" a book. Since she can't read yet, she makes up the contents of the book. Nana is egging her onto the topic of Pooh, and Abby obliges with some details from the Piglet Movie, which she babbles about every so often these days.
Our next event is Memorial Day weekend. I hope we get some more pictures to put online. Maybe I'll start a generic gallery.
