Maybe this isn’t the kind of thing that’s fit for general publication, but am I the only person this happens to?

There’s this odd effect when you’ve got a bit of mucous in your nose, and you breathe in and it kind of “flaps” back with the air. And then when you breathe out it “flaps” back outward. Sometimes this causes an unpleasant sensation in your nose, maybe ticklish. It also usually interferes with the passage of air through that nostril.

Man, I had one of these things in my nose last night when I was trying to sleep, and I’ll tell you, it was the most annoying experience.

Casual readers will wonder why one doesn’t simply blow his nose in these instances. Well, sometimes the snot flap just doesn’t come out, ok?

My sinus is a deep and mysterious place.
