…my folks got the first computer that I ever layed hands on. It was an 8088 that they dropped around $4,000 on…and it was the sweetest thing that I’d ever seen. Lame as it might be, I still get excited when I think about that machine. My dad downloaded some nerd games for me from CompuServe (remember pre-Internet CompuServe?), and when I got a little older I started playing around with BBSs (remember BBSs?) on its screamin’-fast 2400-baud modem.
