Berta to the Rescue!
Thanks, Berta, for retrieving the missing mysterywire from Radio Shack. I should probably have like 30 of these on hand, but for some reason, since I need one desperately, not so much.

I’ve been on support with the host for a while now. Apparently, the database that controls access to their power panels is faulty, and servers are simply turning off willy-nilly. This is how I imagine it, anyway.
I’ll be back on track with Almost Friday as soon as I can stop talking to these support people.
Well, it looks like a short break is in order. I have no idea where the story is going next, and I need to refuel.
I’m going to assemble the audio from the hotline for use. Berta is going to catch up now that the kids are in bed. Hopefully she can come up with some good direction for things to go.
Well, you knew there would be one. Isn’t there always something?
With the kids screaming and tossing around heavy things in the background, I’m especially unable to locate the one cable I need to hook a particular device to another particular device for producing the background music.
There was a hiccup at my web host. Things seem to be back online right now, but they haven’t given me a concrete reason why things went wrong in the first place.
This is very disconcerting.
