There must be intelligent life down here

And Just Like That...

Within three days, I’ve confirmed that most of what I do is either meaningless or so grossly underappreciated (not to be confused with being taken for granted) that it might as well be meaningless.

So last night to fall asleep, rather than imagining how I would spend lottery winnings or trying to work out the next new mini-feature in some software I’m developing but was too tired to continue for the evening, I imagined that I was on a bicycle.

11 Hours Of Sleep: Sweet!

So after Wednesday night’s maintenance to 2:30 AM (note to self: never pimp 3Com gear again), and Thursday’s short 8-hour workday, I got home and managed to watch day 1 of my WRC-Monte Carlo tape from the weekend. That’s some measure of how busy life has become, it has taken me four days to watch a half hour of video. And this weekend we are getting five hours more. Who knows how long it will take me to get to watching all that!

Jenn came home with Alex, ordered me a pizza, and then after we put Alex to bed (he missed his nap and was just as tired as his daddy) she had me go right to bed. And I slept pretty much straight through the next 11 hours.

Fencing

Ooh, descriptive - I bet that’s what you’re thinking. Anyway, it’s Phill from blackheart. Okay, before you start laughing, this didn’t happen to me, but to my dad, on his first ski-trip. We were skiing down a blue run for the first time (on that run), we were all doing okay, except dad - he wasn’t exactly the best skiier in the family. Well, to cut a long story short, he landed in a fence, doing the splits, his skis slipping from his feet, down towards the black run over the off-piste. Well, how we laughed. I wish I had a camera with me, and we kept going on about it. I’m evil - oh well. Night :)

i couldn't believe

I really want to win this contest. I just don’t have a great story about the snow. I racked my brain for one. Even though about making one up, but just couldn’t lie to win. I grew up in Missouri so there was plenty of snow - I just don’t have any good stories that go with it. I’ve got some for the cold, and then maybe for the heat. But none for the snow. Oh well. Maybe I can win next time! :)

It’s been.
