So, no more than a day goes by after the site goes online than I come down with some kind of head cold. This is just no good. Since I was rather dizzy when I got out of bed this morning (which is usually the case when I’m coming down with something serious) I decided to call off work and stay home.
But I’m still sick. In fact, I wasn’t so bad about an hour ago, but I’m feeling not so great right now. I think I need to take some decongestants.
So the site is finally online. and look at all of the cool content. I have to say I’m proud that after not even four hours of being online, Asymptomatic already has several quality (in my humble opinion) articles available for its readers.
One thing diturbs me. My spell checker seems to think that I’ve spelled asymptomatic incorrectly. How could this be? It wants me to use “a symptomatic” or just “symptomatic”. What’s with that?
I get upwards of 100 messages each day from individuals and various mailing lists. I simply don’t have time to sift through everything. But if you’re someone I know, I tend to read your email before someone I don’t. Which is why it aggravates me when I get chain email.
Chain email is that kind you know, which usually entices you to forward it to as many people as you can, either in an effort to save a starving/dieing girl in Botswana or to prevent you from being cursed by a horrible ailment or bad luck.
The paper instructed the reader to indicate how many would be attending the company Christmas party this year. Some people had taken to putting lines for numbers (like || for 2), some actually wrote numbers.
Of course, this is a problem - I’m not going.
