I’ve always wondered if people that drove the same model car would get along. Presumably, you’d be looking for the same set of features in a vehicle; the same price range. It follows that while not every Honda Civic driver is going to like every other Honda Civic driver, they have a better chance of getting along than a Civic and a Hummer. At least, that’s my logic.
It’s amazing how some ideas sit idle for so long and then you realize that you’re not alone.
Today, as I was coming back to work from lunch, I saw another Vibe driver. This isn’t too strange in itself because I see a lot of Vibe drivers around town, since it’s a reasonably popular car. But this particular Vibe was the exact same color as mine. There are a few cherry red Vibes on the road near here, but none that are the same maroon as mine. This one was.
I was fixated on the car as it pulled by and rounded the corner I was stopped at, but I noticed the driver inside. He waved happily, as if he always wondered the same thing I did. I waved back.
I had a stupid insane smile on my face the whole way back to work.
