Pat was talking to me on IM yesterday about Halo 2, and how he would like to hear real radio shows again.

At first, I suggested investigating podcasts, and I suppose that podcasts aren’t exactly what either of us were looking for. No, we both want what I proposed for the Blogathon that never happened.

If you are interested in Halo 2, then unless your head has been smashed under a rock, you will know what Ilovebees is. I mean, you’ll know of it, not necessarily understand it. It’s some kind of Halo marketing vehicle. Like they need more hype, really.

Anyway, there is currently a series of audio files there that apparently take place in the Halo world. They are very well produced, and quite compelling. Especially if you like a little Sci-Fi with your audio plays. Very nice.

In other audio news, one of my latest BlogExplosion referrers, Erica, suggests the Dresden Dolls. Reminds me weakly of Sunshine Blind (who I’ve seen live. twice.) vocals, or maybe of one of Brian’s crooning goth poet friends, but with weird Tori Amos clavichord instrumentation. Maybe you will like it - Check it out. The site is just odd enough to warrant a short visit on its own merit.

And finally, has anyone had any experience with Radio Time? It’s apparently some kind of PVR for radio that you schedule through the web and record via a USB radio tuner. But this implies that good local radio exists in Philadelphia, which it does not. Hmm.
