Meetup.com changes fees

Meetup has added fees to their group memberships. I suppose they have to stay afloat somehow, but this is going to kill any group that’s just getting started. And to think I just sent a writeup to Lorelle yesterday about how great Meetup has been for the Philadelphia WordPress Meetup Group.

Well, it’s not all doom and gloom. Fortunately, as unwise as it seemed at the time, I signed up for an M+ membership at Meetup. It was only for three months, and expires in June. As a result, the group’s dues are paid until then.

Can someone please explain to me how the “Block Popup Windows” checkbox option keeps turning off in Firefox without me unchecking it?

Every so often it just unchecks itself and I end up racing around trying to turn it back on before my desktop is cluttered with popups. Very aggravating.
