Check out SketchUp, which lets you draw CAD-like 3D drawings without needing CAD-operator skill.
I spent a good portion of today transcribing my personal notes for a UI design for work onto a form that I built to hold such information.
The layout I designed in Open Office basically splits the page into three sections and includes a 4:3 rectangle for doodling the web page into. For some of the later diagrams, I drew some templates (including the logo, header, and sidebar boxes/lines) into the web page box before I printed the sheet. Onto these pre-printed sheets of paper I drew UI parts.
I finally came to my senses and found a bookmarklet that uses Google’s translator to translate pages that aren’t in English.
I guess I took a couple of days “off” to recouperate from the Fios install. I’ll write about that soon enough. Gotta have pictures of the vital parts so’s I can describe it to you.
Friday night, Mom watched Abby, so Berta and I had Saturday morning to ourselves. I went out for bagels from Einstein Bros. They were out of plain bagels, so I got blueberry cream cheese on blueberry bagels. Not as much overkill as you might expect.
