A Contest

I’ve been thinking of having a contest to drum up another round of comment magnetizing. I just feel in a good mood about the blog, I suppose.

The problem is that I don’t know what the contest should be. Truth be told, I had a decent contest set up back in December. It was all Christmas-oriented. The problem was that the questions in the quiz I had constructed were too difficult. I don’t want to give too much away because I may use the quiz next year as a novelty or something, but let’s just say that if you didn’t know the number equalling two times the mass of the Earth, you weren’t going to solve my puzzle.

I see screenshots of people’s computers often, and I wonder what all of those icons are they are running in their tray. The tray is that area on the task bar where the clock is with all of the little icons in it.

Well, I did not put much effort into it yet. Everyone else in the house is currently sleeping and I don’t expect that to last for long. You’ll notice that several things remain undrawn. This is because I expected to draw the remaining bits when it got into the computer. This I have not done yet because the color banlances between each scan are screwey, and I wasted a lot of time trying to fix that. Maybe again soon.

Anyway, I wanted to share the preliminary composite drawing. So here it is. Hopefully I’ll get back to work on it some more and be able to produce a cleaner version than this rough, almost-just-the-pencil-sketch version.
