I’ve watched both Presidential debates with interest this year. I think it’s interesting to try to read into the messages that these politicians are trying to emote, and more so to see how voters are really reacting to the rhetoric. I’m not sure these thoughts will come out in any cohesive order, but here goes…

Well, it’s been an interesting week so far. As I write this, we’re preparing to leave for a day at EPCOT. I’m looking forward to Mission: Space, which is new this trip.

A quick recap, since there isn’t much time. On Saturday, we didn’t do anything, because we only arrived at the airport at 4pm. Sunday was Universal. Universal is a cool place, although not as cool as Islands of Adventure, which we aren’t doing on this trip since I’m the only elegible rider.

Had I mentioned that our whole town is getting Verizon’s Fios - Fiber To The Premesis - sometime within the next year? Did you want proof?

I took these pictures of the utility pole behind my house this morning. There, you can see the large box that the Verizon guys installed sometime within the past month. If you follow the really thick cable, you go all over the place. I haven’t checked yet, but I’m pretty sure it leads directly to the Verizon Central Office which is just a block or so away.

Every Sunday the girls get up too early and go downstairs for breakfast. Usually Berta makes something special, and since I was up last Sunday I put together an order of pancakes.

I asked Berta how many pancakes she usually makes; what amount of ingredients she uses. She said she usually doubles the recipe on the box. Often we end up with a few (say three) extra pancakes after I eventually stumble downstairs, and so I mixed up the pancakes to her specifications.
