I needed to make the anonuncement official, and since everyone relevant seems to read this site in some form, I thought I would make it here.
For some time, my birthday has been on January 4th. Almost 30 years, actually. And for a good chunk of recent memory, my birthday has been one of the worst days of my year. From broken bones to spending it alone in a hotel to being deathly ill... It's just not been a good time.
Ugh, what a week...
I spent a good portion of the weekend working on my new project. Actually, it's an older project idea, but I'm finally getting around to it. It's a gift registry.
I've been putting some effort into getting some special things ready for the Asymptomatic anniversary.
November 30th will mark 4 years of weblogging here. I don't want to get into reminiscing here, because then I wouldn't have anything to say when the anniversary arrives, but I did want to give you a preview of the site since I've been working so hard to get everything ready. It's killing me having sat on the new design for as long as I have.

I’ve been on this new kick lately to find something good to drink. It’s working out pretty well on many fronts.
A while ago I decided that I would not add caffeine to my daily consumption needs. I used to have one or two sodas a day at least, and it wasn’t doing anything for me. Soda is just bad for you, diet or not.
I went insane and tried that Atkins diet thing (which is really stupid, and I have since changed my ways, but that’s another story) and if you read the book it’ll tell you that caffeine is not allowed. Most likely because it’s a gateway to toher things. It’s a habit-forming substance and it is usually consumed with other things.
