Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance

I had this weird craving after our game last night to play more role-playing, so when the weather was beautiful today, I went out shopping.  (Isn't it weird how some people shop when the weather gets nice?  Isn't it weird that I'm one of them? Yes, I have a problem.)

So I picked up a copy of Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance for the XBox.  First off, let me say that I'm not disappointed with the game, but I came away with the same feeling that I always get from computer RPGs - that feeling that they could have done better/more with what property they have.

Ack! Thwarted again!

Ok, it’s not exactly my idea. In fact, it’s not really near my idea. Actually, my idea is completely different.  But it looks a lot like my idea. Check out NewsGator, an RSS aggregator that integrates into Outlook. It’s $29 for one user, and it looks pretty neat in how it works. Something akin to what I had in mind, but not quite.  Besides that, it’s only really useful for Outlook users.  (Of which I am one, but many folks aren’t.)

While I’m on the topic of news aggregators again, let me pass on a couple of other findings.  First, there’s QuickBrowse. (What is it with all of these two-word products that are separated by capitalization?) It lets you receive copies of your favorite sites via one long morning email. It’s actually kind of neat looking.
