This Sunday we're going to the PA Renaissance Faire again. I can't remember if we went last year, but I don't think so. I believe that Sunday is the last day this season for the Faire, so if it rains then we will probably have to wait until next year. It's getting a bit too cold these days to trudge around in the dirt and mud to see the same shows that we see almost every year without change.
Hopefully Abby will be more appreciative of the outdoor time and activities, such as the joust and pig shows. (I hear they have a new pig, but I could be wrong.) This weekend is a Halloween theme week, and people are invited to dress up in costumes (not necessarily the traditional 16th-century costumes).
Well, I was working on PageCat again last night and after a few stupid mistakes I got some things working pretty neatly.
I can now add graphics via URLs to articles using the HTML editor. You just click on the Add Image button and a dialog pops up. This dialog will eventually allow you to specify an existing file from the web server or upload a new file for inclusion in the article. Before I complete this, though, I will need to add a database configuration plugin, so I can add/edit/delete the database config table.
I got a new juggling toy recently called meteors. It's basically a thick nylon rope about 7 feet long with large monkey-fist knots on the ends. You swing the weighted ends of the rope around until eventually the centrifugal force pulls the rope taught enough to be used like a staff. Deadly. Rope. Juggling.
