Vacation is over, and now there is a week of weblogging to catch up on.

I'm not going ot labor on here about my vacation or what I did.  Mostly, I just sat around and did uninteresting things anyway.

Nonetheless, and here come the important part, I came to a decision over my vacation, somewhere around Tuesday, that all of the strange things that happen to me need to be written down.  I need an adversary, and a nice, tidily-wrapped conclusion.  Suffice to say, I will be writing a book.

I already have several pages down, and I'm on my way to having an actual plot.  Basically, the book is my thoughts over vacation that might have made it to this web site but didn't because I was not feeling internet-friendly during my break.  The book, apart from having the usual stream of consciousness writing that is this site's trademark, will also have a sort of plot along with a silly climax and many tag-along stories.

Last night's book writing session went well, even if a little overly dramatic for the purpose of what I'm writing.  It's mostly humor.

I'm taking somewhat of a creative license with this work of pseudo-fiction.  I'm compressing 10 days into 5, along with snippets of other things that happened outside of strictly those 10 days.  I'm also adding a bit of believable fantasy in order to keep people interested.  While it's true that reality is oftentimes more interesting than fiction, reality usually needs some egging along to realize its full potential.

Main players in my daily life will be represented, including Berta and Abby.  Nobody who I write about will like this book.  I can't really explain why I believe this to be so.  In fact, anyone who I would ask to proof the book would probably not enjoy it thoroughly, since there would be a section of something written about them.  I even used some fake names, but it's pretty obvious who's who if you're in the know.

The technical details of the book will be taken care of soon, since Cafe Press is going to start publishing books at the end of the month.  I hope to be one of their early customers.  I expect that the book will be perfect-bound paperback with a color cover, similar to those you would find at the grocery store.  I'll have to look into getting an ISBN number, which might make it possible to see the book (and my name as author) listed on Amazon, which would be very cool.  Maybe if the "first printing" works out, I'll just shop it to ExLibris and they'll do the ISBN work for me.

Anyway, look for the book to arrive on this site soon, probably for a bargain purchase price of $9-12.
