I wanted to add some links on my site to people who had sponsored me for this year’s Blogathon, so I headed over to the official site to see what they had.

I added the script they supplied to my site (This script can be found on your user page after you log in), and looked at the results. It seems that it only shows the number of sponsors and the total amount raised. Well, that’s fine, but I want to give my sponsors a little something extra.

So I present “Blogathon-o-meter”. It’s just a simple WordPress plugin that scrapes your Blogathon campaign site to get a list of your donors. You can insert a single “template tag” to output that list, and the list will include links to the blogs of sponors who are also participating in the Blogathon. Neat, eh?

I don’t guarantee that it’ll work for your site (it makes outgoing requests to the Blogathon site), but it sure beats keeping track of Sponsors and making links manually. Of course, if the Blogathon people change their site layout, the whole thing will break, but I suspect that things will remain mostly the same throughout the weekend.

Ok, now. My sponsor list looks pathetic… Time to rally people to my cause!
