Things are shaping up well this week.  After all of the turbulence with the computer assembly, they have finally arrived.

I noted that the Fedex guy had stopped with the delivery when I was about to leave work to go home for lunch, so I got a little excited about that.  But there really wasn't any time when I was home to do much of anything with the computers.

When I got inside, there were three huge boxes sitting in the living room.  Abby and Nana were there behind them all, reading a book.  It was quite marvellous.

After lunch I quickly unpacked the boxes so to get them out of Abby and Nana's way.  Before you get any weird ideas like, "Oh yeah, you just wanted to play with the computers," I'll have you know that none of the computers actually left their boxes.  All of the computers were double-boxed.  So there was a huge box on the outside filled with styrofoam peanuts and another box which contained the actual computer.  I barely had time to open the inside box and peek at my computer, much less do anything with it.  Really, I swear - These boxes were very large and were taking up the whole living room and had to be dealt with.

Anyway, I was able to get a couple of preliminary pictures of my computer's face (I was lucky that it was packed with the face toward the opening) and the stack of inner boxes that I managed to move temporarily into the dining room.  I moved the big outer boxes (which we should keep in case there are any problems and we need to return something) to the basement, but couldn't put them anywhere convenient because Berta has not yet wrapped my Christmas gifts from her, which are sitting out in boxes in the basement.  To avoid the temptation of looking at what she got, I just set the boxes in a stack at the bottom of the stairs and quickly averted my eyes.

Anyhow, I'm glad the computers have arrived, and I'm anxious to break open the boxes and give the systems a whirl.
