Mom said that there was a company that her company works with that has only two people working because everyone else is out with the flu.  That's pretty severe.

Donna called the house on Saturday morning and left a message that Bob had the flu and the game was cancelled.  I guess he was pretty badly off because when Dave and I called over there later, Donna said he barely managed to wander downstairs before falling asleep again.

Unfortunately, sympathetic victim to viruses that I am, I managed to pick something up on Saturday night that left me sleeping through much of Sunday and recovering through Monday.  It started out as a just weird feeling.

As I've told Berta in the past, whenever I start to get sick, my tongue gets sore like I bit it or something.  It swells up a little, just enough to let me know that something's going on.  I started taking the Echinacea again, squeezing the 1oz medicine dropper into my soda at work.  Dr. Pepper works best to disguise the taste.

But then there was the strange tingling sensation all over.  Almost like a fever, but no temperature.  And sudden weakness and rabid hunger.

I've managed to compartmentalize my illness into a sore throat that can be treated with a Tylenol Flu pill.  It hurts to swallow unless I have taken the Tylenol.  I'm still a bit achy, and tired.  I could use another day in bed.  But there's school and work, and I should really get moving.
