I had taken some pictures on Independence day of various things, including Abby, food and fireworks, but hadn't bothered to put them online until now.

A note or two about these pictures.  I had to set the camera to an 8-second exposure time to catch these fireworks at all.  The ones that managed to turn out turned out pretty good, but next time I'll be sure to bring along a tripod, since everything is all squiggly in these.  The picture that looks like raining fire is a result of moving the camera violently before the exposure time was up.

When we got home after the fireworks, there were a couple of firetrucks out back.  The firemen were looking for something in the HVAC vents on the roof of the old Pepperidge building.  They didn't find anything, but it was unnerving to see so many firetrucks so close to the house.

Also, you should watch the movies I took on the 4th.  The first one is of Abby watching the fireworks, clapping and saying, "yay!"  She looks around a little to see that everyone else is enjoying the show.  She's pretty cool, even if the video is a little fuzzy.  This was taken with the still camera, not the video camera, which would have done a much better capture.

There's also a short video of fireworks, and one of the firetrucks.
