It’s crazy out here.
We’ve gone out for lunch and to pick up a few items for the house, specifically paint for Abby’s room. All of our tasks are common - we’d be doing it anyway no matter what time of year it was. But everyone else out here is nuts.
The last time I saw the Wegmans parking lot so full was, well, last Thanksgiving. I guess people need groceries for their dinners, but why do they all go to the store at the same time on the same day? Wegmans is open 24 hours. You can show up at 10pm and see no other people.
But that’s not the only shopping center that’s packed. The one we’re in right now is packed full. Abby and Berta are getting supplies to paint Abby’s new clubhouse (the box from Riley’s electric car), a completel non-Christmas activity.
It’s a shame that our distinctly non-Christmas shopping is so affected by this strange pre-holiday shopping rush.
Thank goodness for Amazon.
