I’ve been buying Pepsi for the past few weeks because they’ve been running this “Every 10 Minutes” campaign in which they give away an XBox 360 before you can get it in stores.
Basically, you buy a bottle of soda, take the orange cap off, and enter the code underneath into their web site. After you’ve entered all the codes you have, you need to pick a time. I actually didn’t realize that I had to choose a time myself, I just thought that I was entered for the current running drawing. So when I finally chose my 10-minute span, I had quite a few points to allocate to that time.
Well, I checked my time last week before I left for France. I looked at the Winner’s Board for the time that I had signed up for, 10:00am. No winner. Hmm…
Today, I was entering a couple of caps I had sitting around, and I accidentally tried to enter the codes of two caps I had already entered. The error mesage it gave me was weird, saying that the code was invalid rather than already used, and so to verify the “new” code against the codes I had already entered, I went to my account history page.
I scrolled down a bit (ignoring a large green box at the top that I had never seen before) and noticed that my two caps had already been entered. Ok, that issue was solved and ended much as I expected.

I suppose I must have been looking at PM not AM when I was looking at the Winner’s Board before, because I didn’t see that I had won. I had won, as was stated quite obviously by the text in the big green box. Sweet!
So I guess I will be receiving my XBox 360 on November 19th, which is the Saturday before the official release date of November 22nd. They’re supposed to send me a game and some kind of Pepsi prize pack, too.
The sweepstakes runs until the end of October. Most times have only a thousand entries or so by the time they do the drawing, so you’ve still got a good chance to win!
