I have a sickening feeling today that we're going to get bad news from India. Not so much that something awful has happened, but that they will not be able to satisfy our need to move quickly on our new Envision project.
This probably means that we'll try switching back to the Image Designer for a while, although I don't think they will be happy about making modifications to that application without a plan. Even decent revisions require plans. It's not really the same as bug fixing.
I have a couple of other scheduling issues to take care of. I would like to get a home copy of Microsoft Project before I don't have the money. That way, I'll be able to better manage my project time.
My computer at home desperately needs rebooted, but I have put it off because I'm running Visio, and I'm not sure if I want to register the copy I have on the desktop and not the notebook. I wonder what will happen if I buy another copy to install.
The day is looking pretty dreary, and it's obvious from my attitude coming home yesterday that I'm in some kind of seasonal funk. I wouldn't have believed it if I had just heard it on the radio, which I did. But the chinese food we had for dinner was helpful in recovering my mood.
I'll have to see how today goes. I might need to modify my web server budget to see if it fits within my future means, depending on how the day goes today.
Last night I updated my Exalted High School rules a bit. I've cobbled together rules from a bunch of sources, blatently cutting and pasting from many systems. I suppose that if I went through and modified things a bit more, I might be able to call the system mine, but as it is, I've simply stolen the descriptions of skills from a couple of other systems.
In any case, I think this system will work well for email. It might even work well for modern tabletop. I might try that. I need to keep the rules light, though. And they seem to be getting heavier, since I added a section on fighting styles. We'll have to see how that goes. Meanwhile, progress (if you can call it that) continues on the recently reconstituted RPG Wire.
