I've been meaning to do this feature for some time, but never did.  Anyhow, this is a list of the keywords used in search engines that result in finding this site, complete with my explanations of why the keyword might be valid (that's the juicy bit, even if it is a little dry).  Here goes...

  1. Asymptomatic - Well, duh.
  2. google iron developer - This search term likely refers to a link from the Rock Scissors Blog feed that talks about the Iron Developer contest.  I suspect that the person searching typed "google" at the front, expecting to do a google search.  This didn't happen, though, because if you you a google search for these exact words, Asymptomatic doesn't appear.
  3. iraqi bodycount - I wrote an article about the war that included a link to the bodycounter, a web gadget that keeps track of the casualties of operation Iraqi Freedom.
  4. satellite pictures/images of my house - Recently, I found a service that returns blogs that are physically close to your blog using satellite GPS coordinates called GeoURL.  (This is important if you read the rest of these entries.)  Along with that article, I posted pictures of my house from space.
  5. prostate - A search of my site reveals no mention of this word.  Weird.
  6. organ transplant illegal alien - This one comes to us via an article on that teenage organ recipient who died.  I hesitate to link to the Jesica's Hope Chest site, but there you go.  Don't give these hypocrites any money.
  7. bone content in picture - The order of the words in this one is what's confusing.  I wrote an article entitled "Content Bone", as in, "I'll throw you a content bone, since I have nothing else to say."  I'm sure it wasn't what the searching party was looking for.
  8. terraserver downingtown pennsylvania - The source of this one is mentioned above in number 4.  I wonder who else in Downingtown wants pictures of their house from space.
  9. chronicles bombed baghdad - I had some trouble with this one.  I presume that it came from one of the feeds that I carry, probably talking about CNN's pulled blog article and the Where is Raed? site, which now seems dead.
  10. pictures of lady macbeth - This one's weird, because I'm not actually sure you can do this, as she's a fictional character.  The fact that the search turns up a ton of sites is even more odd.  And the most weird thing... I actually talk about Lady Macbeth on this site!  Sort of.
  11. http://www.theartofsmiling.com/blogger.html - Every so often a URL appears in my referrer log for no reason.  Usually this is caused by a link via GeoURL (see #4) or through the Wander-Lust service.  However, I can't find the Wander-Lust logo on this site, nor are they (in my recollection) close to me in GeoURL, so I'm not sure how they got here.
  12. the picture people - The article containing our studio Christmas pictures talks about this bogus company.  I mean, the pictures are good, the atmosphere is great, the processing is fast, and it's a fun place, but the club card really hosed us.
  13. http://www.barkingmoose.com/ - Another mystery.  I suppose that an exhaustive search of my logs could aid in this, but I'm lazy.
  14. motivational chocolate candy coins - Certainly this searcher had something else in mind when they stumbled on my 2002 Christmas list.  Maybe these custom chocolate coins.  That people still don't know how to search (candy?) amazes me.
  15. rss news and sports feeds for trillian pro - This is a good one.  I wrote this thing on my new secret project (which, like all other secret projects has surreptitiously hit the back burner) and included mention of Trillian, the greatest IM client.
  16. blogchalk united states - You may not have noticed the blogchalk on the home page.  I'm not sure what good it's doing, but it's there.  GeoURL works better, I'm sure.  The blogchalking site seems down right now.
  17. davedevil - Every so often a spelling mistake sneaks in.  This search came to us via my review of Daredevil.  I'm not the only one, though.  This is not to be mistaken for any commentary on my buddy dave, seen here with a baby dragon crawling on him.
  18. nuadha s tale - I fyou haven't checked out the Game WISH, you should.  It's a pretty interesting discussion.  This referral term is one of the sites on the Game WISH participants list.

Here is another interesting list.  These are sites that have bothered to refer to Asymptomatic directly, either by including a link or through a service like Wander-Lust:

  1. Triton Labs - I posted a message on this board linking to my Afterburner installation page.
  2. Pseudomain - Bud runs my feed.  Yay!
  3. The Go Fish - I don't know her, but she's nice to have included my site in her blogroll.  I wish I could attend the get-together on Saturday, but I have a regular thing.
  4. Perverse Access Memory - This is Ginger's site from the Game WISH page.  I posted some links back from there.
  5. DayPop - Yeah, I know DayPop's a search engine, but I appear on their donate page.

That about does it for this installment.  There are more keywords, but they're mostly rehashes of the same stuff, particularly regarding the satellite imagery info.

If you're the author of one of the referred sites, drop a line.  Maybe you can offer some insight as to how your name got in my referrer list.  I should write a thing that lists all of the referring sites that used Wander-Lust to get here.  I wonder if Wander-Lust has this kind of tool.  Hmm...
