In case you weren't aware, I'm the organizer for the Philly WordPress Meetup.  Our next meeting is Saturday, August 27th at 2pm.

Of all the meetups we've had so far, we haven't done a lot of WordPress discussion.  Sure, we've talked about WordPress, but we don't limit our topics to just that, so it's not 100% nerdville - not that I would classify anyone who has shown up as a nerd.

We meet at Fergie's Pub on Sansom St. downtown.  It's pretty easy to get to (Mapquest), and there's close parking for out-of-towners.  The WiFi access there is questionable - I think it's an unprotected router in a nearby apartment, and it's sketchy for signal - but I'm going to bring my notebook anyway so that we can take a look at (if you haven't seen it already) the development version of WordPress.  It should be fun.

Aside from being a WordPress user, I'm a pretty prolific WordPress plugin developer, and I might be your best bet for getting questions answered in person.  Depending on who else shows up, there might be several people around who know a lot about the innards of WordPress.  So take advantage!

An hour after our meeting starts, at 3pm, the Philadelphia Weblogger Meetup begins right down the street (3-4 blocks, I think), so depending on how things are running at our own meetup, we might like to drop in down there and see what the non-WP-users are up to in Philly.

It seems like I'm always late from Schuylkill traffic, and then haven't eaten anything by the time I get there, so I'm going to plan to arrive early, get lunch, and started on my first beer before everyone else gets there.  Feel free to join me, Fergie's has fantastic food.

I hope you can come to our meetup, too!
