I always get nervous doing these things, because I'm not too sure what I would do if something goes wrong.
Anyway, I updated Sendmail to protect from the vulnerabilities recently found in that service. You would think that someone would figure out a way to write code that was not succeptible to buffer overruns.
While I was there, I closed up another hole related to Ensim. How this hole got by the Ensim testers, I can only imagine. In fact, I imagine the testers all smoking crack in the broom closet while their computers in the test lab burned in their screen savers. Sheesh.
Finally, and most significantly, I upgraded to PHP 4.3.1. That means I should have access to all of the new functions they've added since version 4.1.1, which is the one I used to have. Strangely, everything seemed to go pretty smoothly. I'm sure that within the half hour, one of the hostees will email me saying, "X doesn't work anymore!" But at least things appear to be working correctly.
One of the nice things about 4.3.1 is that it's now possible to designate dictionary indices as case-insensitive. This is a great boon for me with PageCat, but probably means nothing to you. I guess that the point is that it makes me happy. And you should be happy that I'm happy. Really.
