After last night's football gathering, we all slept in at the house.  Even Abby (who was up as late as we were watching the Eagles last night) slept in until 9am!  Berta decided to use the morning to do some painting in the bedroom, so I took Abby with me to breakfast and to return a battery to Circuit City.

Abby sure did eat a lot at breakfast, and even more so after we got to Old Country Buffet.  She had a bunch of cantaloupe and some macaroni and cheese, and I had a bunch of cheese-covered cantaloupe.

We carted Dave with us down to Circuit City.  Abby slept during the trip, but she wandered around the store quite a bit, looking at things and pointing.  I should note that she's very much her daddy's girl - she picked up many boxes and spun them around to read the specs of the device.  Very cute.

I ended up using a gift card (from my dad - thanks Dad!) to get a MiniDisc player.  Having it at home for a while now, I can say that it's not everything that is advertised.  I was led to believe that I could put MP3s directly onto this new type of player, but the machine insists that each music file go through a conversion process first.  What a delay and inconvenience.  Also - I will reserve the right to complain later about that stinking plastic packaging.

At home, Berta had finished painting.  I'm convinced that there will be clean-up work yet.  We went out to dinner with Dad to the new Hibachi in Downingtown, which was a pretty good time.  Abby had fun, too, her first time at the Hibachi.  She liked all of the fire.  This can't be a good sign.

When we got home, Abby fell asleep on top of Berta on the couch.  We watched a couple episodes of the first season of 24.  I must say that even though we kind of know what is going to happen from having started watching the second season, it's still mind-boggling.  And we're only 9 hours into it!  I can't wait to see what happens next.  It hasn't gotten slow at all throughout.  First season makes second look like a kid wrote it, really.  It's not bad, but I hope it picks up to the pace of first season on Tuesday.

Looking forward to writing class tomorrow...  With all of the typos, it probably looks like I need it.  But hey, I'm watching TV in my living room, typing on my notebook, wirelessly connected to the internet.  Heh.
