Indoor Astronomy - A Book

I know I’ve been prattling on about writing a book forever, but I think I might have finally found a topic that makes sense.

I was looking at my Astronomy notes and noticed that there is a lot of cool stuff there that people ought to know. In a typical astronomy book you get a lot of pictures of things in space (that you’ll never see in your backyard telescope, by the way) and charts of the constellations. That’s all great, but there is more to Astronomy than star-gazing. Astronomy is a science.

Cheap Gas

I was driving home from school the other day and saw the cheapest gas price I've seen in quite a while on the sign at the new Wawa, a local convenience store.

As I expected, the store was not open for business with such “too good to be true” prices.

Gas Prices

Here’s what I know: If gas prices get much higher, I’ll be biking to work. It’s getting to be too much of an expense to fill the car up every week.

Meanwhile, we’re subsidizing Iraq’s gasoline so that they can pay 5 cents per gallon to fill their tanks. That’s $1 for 20 gallons. I wonder what the price of gas was in Iraq before we subsidized the importing.
