Blogdex and Metalinker

I finally figured out how to put the Blogdex to use.  It's a little tool called Metalinker.  I read about it in a book at Barnes and Noble yesterday afternoon.  There were two items in the whole book that interested me, this being one of them - this seems typical of any web design book I pick up these days.

Basically, you add some script to your page, and noodle with some configuration stuff, and presto!  Every link on your site gets a little footnote that links to the Blogdex.  You'll note that on Asymptomatic (the site you're reading), the footnote is a small superscript R.  When you click the R, a list of other blogs appears that also talk about the linked-to subject.  Pretty cool, eh?  Maybe I should add a feature like this to PageCat.

Gearing Up After Two Weeks

Boy, I've kind of let things go slack haven't I?  It's the holiday season, I guess.  Of course, I've had a lot of time to just sit around due to the vacation, but I haven't written much of anything.  I wrote a little bit when I went out to Johnstown this past weekend, but nobody would want to read that.  Really.

Anyhow, I suppose I should recap the holidays.  Pre-Christmas was very hurried.  The Saturday before Christmas was scheduled as a game day.  However, we had made tentative plans (in the way that someone suggests that we do something and then nothing is discussed about it until the last minute) to go see The Two Towers that evening instead of playing our regular game.
