The “long” weekend ahead is going to be too short. There isn’t going to be enough time to recouperate from the past week, especially with the holiday stuck in there.
I was thinking about sending in an application to walk in the Good Neighbor Day - America Walk race. It turns out that last year only one person in my age group and gender was in the race, and nobody raced in the age group before mine. The guy who did race will be a year older this year, putting him in the next age bracket. So I have a pretty great chance of placing, provided I can complete a 5k walk in under an hour. I think that’s very doable.
We were considering going out to Stan’s for fireworks. It would be nice to get out of the house with the kids.
Certain things I’ve been doing behind the scenes for the WordPress community are mostly complete, so we should see the fruits of that labor soon.
At some point I will get to Home Depot, and I will get a new roll of plumbing tape. I expect to eventually seal off the input on that stinking toilet “very soon now”.
