This afternoon marks the beginning of a week’s vacation from work. Aahh…
My plans include:
Tomorrow’s Birthday Barbecue - I don’t know if I’m actually going to pull this off or not. Berta has been working really hard getting the place ready, but we haven’t really invited anyone over, and the only people who have said they might come (because they know it’s my birthday) are moving to a new apartment tomorrow. So, who knows?
Visiting with Pat - My brother is coming in for some of the week, and I’m sure we’ll be spending a bunch of time together. Maybe there will be anime. Maybe there will be XBox. Maybe we’ll just sit around staring at each other. Who knows?
Going to the Zoo - Bert wants to take the kids to the Philadelphia Zoo on Sunday. As long as it doesn’t rain, that sounds fine to me. If we go around the zoo the other direction, we will see some of the cool things we missed last time we were there.
Taking Abby to Hersheypark - Abby is 38.5 inches tall. This is 0.5 inches taller than you need to be to ride 3 of the rollercoasters at Hersheypark. With all of the little kid rides she can get on, Wednesday should be a fun day for her.
Writing Some Code - I’m not sure when I’ll fit this in, but somewhere during that week I have a couple of nagging projects that I should really attend to. I’m not going to tell you what they are, either you already know for sure, or your best guess will be wrong.
Fixing House - The upstairs toilet needs repair. The water tank is leaking where the water goes in. I think the valve apparatus is cracked. We’ll need a new one. Hopefully, there will be few calls to the plumber.
Moving Things for the Garage Sale - We’re selling a ton of stuff in the coming weeks at our garage sale. We’re taking our own ad out in the paper, and hopefully, along with the neighboring yard sales also taking place that day, we’ll sell all of the stuff we don’t want to take with us when we move.
Reading Something - I don’t know what, but there will be reading accomplished. Perhaps the recently ordered Dave Barry book, Complete Guide to Guys. Perhaps one of the Baroque Cycle trilogy.
