A Russian astrologer believes that NASA’s comet probe ruins the natural balance of forces in the universe and is suing.
I saw Bewitched over the weekend and again last night with Berta, and apart from it being a cute and entertaining movie, I have one other significant thing to say about it:
Katie Holmes may be cute and mousey and part of that WB-generation, but I have yet to see her do anythng that’s significant acting-wise.
Sometimes I wander into unknown web territory and discover things I really shouldn’t. Today, it’s the knowledge of the upcoming release of Movable Type 3.2. I read through Jay Allen’s list of a few of the new features, and thought I would compare some of them to what’s already available in WordPress, and in what’s to come.
First, I want to mention that I’m getting tired of disclaimers, but if I don’t add one then I’ll needlessly get my butt handed to me in comments. Yeah, it’s likely to happen anyway. Second, the actual disclaimer: I’m not proposing that one tool is better or worse than the other. If one tool is better for you, then I would expect you to ignore any bias I might subconsciously instill in this comparison.
Here we go.
Over the past couple years, I’ve been slowly trying to migrate my domain registrations over to EV1’s domain registry. It’s not the easiest registrar in the world to use, but it’s cheap at around $7 per domain. Unfortunately, they’ve stopped offering new registrations, so as my domains reach expiry at other registrars, I can’t move them all to the same place in EV1.
So I’m considering moving to a new registrar. People say good things about GoDaddy, but they’re still not the cheapest around. I’ve seen Yahoo’s domain registration prices, and they look pretty reasonable. A yahoo domain only runs about $5 for a year. Yahoo is a good solid name on the internet. I really don’t have to fear that Yahoo is going to suddenly stop offering domain registrations. I assume that they are already an accredited registrar (rather than using OpenSRS), or they would never be able to offer such low prices. Getting a domain from yahoo seems the cheapest way to go so far.
